Hello, and welcome to the fashion cutie! If you know me, the name is fitting. If you don’t (yet), you’ll understand what I mean soon enough. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you stay awhile.
A little bit about me:
A thirty-something SoCal girl with small town roots a heart for fashion, lifestyle, and travel. I’m new to the blogging community, however, I hope to turn my interests into an outlet to share my favorite brands, OOTDs, recipes, workout regimens, organizing tips and passion for travel with all you beautiful babes (and guys).
Currently, I live in sunny San Diego. I bought a condo a little over a year ago and have had so much fun making it pretty in pink! It’s a small but it’s the ultimate Babe Cave, which has been so much fun to decorate. I still have a lot of work to do, but I’m excited to show you before and after pictures of the space as well as more work to come. Stay tuned.
I have always loved fashion. As a little girl, I remember dressing myself for school. I’d match my shoes with the bow in my hair or my socks with my dress. In grade school, I wanted to add accessories to my uniforms to make my outfit pop. I remember in high school I’d save my lunch money so I could shop on weekends. True story. As an adult, nothing has changed. I still love to shop! My closet is full of goodies, yet I still have nothing to wear. I tend to gravitate to simple pieces, but I have a few stand out items that I use to play up my outfits. These stand out pieces are key to mixing up your wardrobe. I also love a good sale or find, which you’ll learn more about in posts to come.
I have so many hobbies and passions. I work out at least 4-5x a week. This includes hitting the gym to lift, running, Bikram Yoga, hiking (I love being outdoors), or taking a boxing or spin class. I do it all! Thankfully I’ve been athletic most of my life. I played softball for 10+ years growing up, I ran cross-country and played soccer through Jr. College. I also enjoy watching sports, but football has my heart. I’m the commissioner of an all women’s fantasy football league which seemed scary at first but has been a lot of fun over the years.
I enjoy cooking, but I must say this is the hardest part of staying fit. I’m Mexican and we love to eat! I had to teach myself a new way of cooking and eating that benefited both my health and schedule. However, this lifestyle change has led to a huge accomplishment of mine, weight loss. I’ll not only share my weight loss journey with you, but I’ll include some of my favorite easy and healthy recipes that helped me get to a balanced lifestyle.
I’m a beginner in calligraphy. I think I gravitated towards this hobby because it’s just so darn pretty. I can watch videos of handwriting on YouTube and Instagram for hours. This skill is something I someday hope to master. Until then, I’d love to show you my progress.
Besides fashion, I love to travel. I’ve been to 15 countries and counting. The travel bug only hit me about four years ago, but the experiences, new friends and appreciation for new languages, culture and food have been life-changing. My first cross country trip was to NYC and I’ve been a city girl ever since. Since I was a young girl Paris was always my number one travel destination. Two years ago, I decided to make this dream of mine come true. It did not disappoint. It only left me wanting to go back time and time again. Some would say it’s my favorite place to visit. It’s the most romantic city in the world and oh so magical. Don’t worry, I’ll share more about Paris and the rest of my travel experiences with you.
I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a bit. I’m excited about this new beginning and to share my journey and experiences with you!
