Hey besties!
2025 is just around the corner, and I’ve been reflecting on what I want this year to look like. After a lot of thought (and a few cups of coffee), one word kept coming back to me: cultivate.
It’s not just a word—it’s a vibe, a mantra, and a reminder to focus on the things that truly matter. Cultivate is all about intentional growth. It’s planting seeds in every area of life and trusting that with time, patience, and care, they’ll bloom.
Let me break down what cultivate means to me and how it’s shaping my goals for the year:
1. Cultivating Abundance
I’m stepping into 2025 with a mindset of abundance—in wealth, health, and opportunities. For me, this means chasing growth in my career, creating more content I love, and staying open to unexpected doors (or maybe windows!) of opportunity.
But abundance isn’t just about having more—it’s about appreciating what I already have. I want to focus on gratitude and create space for the things that truly matter.
2. Cultivating My Content Creation
This year, I’m pouring even more energy into creating fashion and San Diego lifestyle content. Whether it’s styling the perfect summer dress, sharing what to wear to your next beach bonfire, or spotlighting hidden gems in San Diego, I want my content to inspire and connect with my audience.
I also want to build stronger relationships in this space. Whether that’s collaborating with brands that align with my style or connecting with other creators, I’m all about growing my community and supporting each other.
And let’s be real—San Diego is full of endless inspiration. From beachy sunsets to brunch spots that are way too cute not to post, I’m ready to lean into everything this city has to offer and share it with you all.
3. Cultivating Family & Relationships
This one’s deeply personal. After experiencing a pregnancy loss, I’ve learned how important it is to trust the timing of life. Growing a family is a journey, and this year, I’m focusing on hope, resilience, and the love my partner and I share.
It’s not just about expanding my family—it’s about nurturing the relationships I already have. Whether it’s weekly calls with my parents, date nights with my partner, or simply texting a friend “thinking of you,” these small moments matter.
4. Cultivating My Community
Building connections has always been my passion, both online and IRL. Whether it’s engaging with you all on TikTok, hosting conversations in the comments, or meeting up with friends for coffee in San Diego, I want to create spaces where everyone feels seen and celebrated.
Community is about showing up for others while also finding joy in shared experiences. It’s building each other up and growing together—and I’m here for all of it.
5. Cultivating Myself
Let’s not forget about us! Self-growth is a huge part of cultivating the life we want. This year, I’m prioritizing my health, my passions, and my mental well-being. That means taking time to read, work out, and indulge in a little me time (because skincare and reality TV count as self-care, right?).
It also means giving myself grace. Growth isn’t always linear, and that’s okay. Some seasons are for planting, some are for blooming, and some are for simply resting.
Why Cultivate?
Choosing this word is my way of reminding myself to be patient. Growth doesn’t happen overnight. Whether it’s building a family, chasing a dream, or deepening a connection, the process is just as beautiful as the outcome.
So here’s to 2025—a year of planting seeds, nurturing growth, and watching life unfold exactly as it’s meant to.
To keep the inspiration alive, I’m sharing a few phone wallpapers I created for you to save. Use them as daily reminders to stay focused on growth, community, and everything you’re cultivating this year.
What’s your word for the year? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear what you’re focusing on!
Cheers to cultivating everything you dream of,
Marissa
